323 Youth - FAQ

323 Youth is a 5 on 5 NFL Flag Football Youth Sports League that has a spring and fall season. Our league is available for children between the grades PK – 6th. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Contact Jeff Sisson @ [email protected] with additional questions.

Q: When/where are Practices?

Practice day, location, and time will be determined by your coach. The only requirements that 323 Youth gives the coach is that practice must be within Temple/Belton ISD limits and no practice on Sunday. Practices on Wednesday are allowed. PK/K Division is allowed 1 30 minute practice a week and 1st-6th Grade are allowed up to two 1 hour practices per week.

Q: When/where are Games?

Games are played on Saturdays at Freedom Park in West Temple. Younger divisions play earliest and older divisions play latest.

Q: How are Teams formed?

323 Youth performs a Player Draft. We set a day for Player Assessments and will have all the coaches onsite to evaluate the players. Any player that attends the Player Assessment will be drafted first. If a player misses the assessment, that player is randomly selected to a team at the end of the player draft. We believe this is the most effective way to have evenly matched teams and avoid stacked teams.

Q: How many coaches per Team?

There can be up to 2 coaches per team. The coach’s children will be protected for their team and will use 1 draft pick per child.

Q: Who are the Coaches?

All of the Coaches are volunteers. Each Volunteer Coach must go through a Background Screening. Each Coach is also provided a Rulebook and is required to attend a pre-season meeting to review the proper 323 Youth procedures and expectations.

Q: Can Siblings, Cousins, or Friends be on the same team?

323 Youth allows Siblings or Step-Siblings to be drafted together. We do not allow cousins or friends to be drafted together. All players that are not protected by being a coach’s child will be required to enter the Player Draft.

Q: Can I make a special request?

323 Youth does not grant any special requests.

Q: Is there a Play-Time Policy?

Yes. 323 Youth has a 50% Play Time Policy. This means your child is expected to be on the field playing, at least 50% of the game.
